Bellavista is an (upper?) middle class neighbourhood in San Fernando. The name Bellavista sounds Italian-ish... but I don't know anything more about it.

It's only after returning from Trinidad that I learned from Wikipedia that Christopher Columbus was probably born Italian (when I thought he was Spanish).

And for good views... When weather conditions are good, the view from nearby San Fernando Hill is truly awesome. -

I also enjoyed the view from this hilltop AirB&B... thinking it's both attractive and fairly representative of Trinidad. Houses painted in bright pastel colours (is that a contradiction?) and the bright ever changing light between the frequent rainshowers this time of the year.
