Natürlich mache ich das Nummernschild noch unkenntlich - das dort geparkte Auto war ja der ganze "Witz" an der Sache.

Jan, it is with mixed emotions leaving this platform after nearly fourteen years of consecutive postings - in average slightly more than 1 a week :-)
But I have to admit, that during the past months I found myself running a bit out of fuel (fuel=ideas and motivation).
On the positive side, others are joining, the site still seems to be a good place for casual postings and commentaries.
The biggest issue IMHO is the missing ability to show panoramas in a larger scale - the perpetual claim I know.
Though I fully understand the limitations of the "Viewer" with its labelling system, but on the other hand a specific link could have guided one to its full (or better) resolution to satisfy one's work.
At the end the effort of creating the so called "artwork" was less important than to find the best scaling tool with perfect sharpening - a bit odd :-/

Das hat am Freitag Spaß gemacht - und auch wenn ich schon Jahrzehnte weggezogen bin aus dieser schönen Stadt, hat's noch zum Erkennen gereicht. VG Martin
PS: Mit Deinen immer kreativen Beiträgen hoffe ich, daß es nur eine schöpferische Pause wird.

I can fully understand how this type of website appeals more to repetive presentations of landscapes in particular, and that one must somehow be into that.

We have been blessed to have a website where we could roam freely, but of course the downside to that is that there is no updates. Fx, the small size of the panos has been painful for many, I guess. Other features could have been put on easily by a professional website, but for a cost.

All in all, it is certainly a loss that you stop. As Martin says, I hope to see you here again, and we can of course still look at your website :-)

Diese Einfachheit mal kurz wenn man Lust verspürt ein Pano einzustellen, finde ich persönlich an dieser Seite großartig. Und auch ein gutes Pano in eben nur 500 Pixeln Höhe darzustellen bedarf einer gewissen Fertigkeit.
Auch wenn mein Geschmack und Deiner nicht immer zusammentreffen, so gefallen mir ein Großteil Deiner Panos sehr, sehr gut.
Daher hoffe ich, Hans-Jürgen, dass Dein Tank eines Tages wieder voll ist und Du Dich und Deine Werke wieder blicken lässt.
Von der Schwesterseite habe ich mich vor über vier Jahren getrennt. Wenn ich ab und zu dort reinschaue, scheint sich mir diese langsam dem Ende zu nähern, was die Beteiligung angeht. Hier kann ich diesen Trend nicht feststellen und hoffe, es bleibt so.
