Is this all we see from this location or are there more buildings behind ?
Yesterday I was searching for dual-churchbell towers ... A sisyphus work :-)

This village has a specific name. In ancient times there was a castle, but it takes its name from the nearby abbey (whose bell tower can be seen) and from the small river that flows nearby.
Very good Chianti is produced in the abbey's vineyards. But there are no more monks, only the winegrowers are left :-)

yes, Tuscany was part of my search term. Now let me see...

it is not:
San Donato a Gavignano
Santa Lucia a Bolzano
Santa Maria delle Grazie Montalcino

Hello Hans-Jürgen and thank you for your persistence. The Chianti production area is a well-defined area between the provinces of Florence and Siena.
This is not a central part of this area.

Unfortunately I'm stuck (or google doesn't like me) I may need some more information such as
in Colli Senesi,
Colli Aretini,
Colline Pisane, ...

Colli Senesi.

Now I became "expert" in Tuscan Abbeys.
But I didn't find it :-)

Last words ...
San Martino in Campo ?
Abbazia di Farneta ?

Becoming an expert on Tuscan abbeys is wonderful :-)
A synonym for abbey in Italian is monastery.

Thanks for the helpful hints. Inside is an apparently expensive hotel with the name of Castel M. It's 4-5 km east of C.B. Cheers, Martin

Just like Hans-Jürgen I've been searching for hours yesterday, but also wasn't able to find it. However, I'm a happy man now that I've found it, thanks to the tips of Martin. Thanks for this nice riddle

No chance of resolution for me ... anyway, it looks like a fine place to relax from everyday life !!!

Cheers, Hans-Jörg
