During the winter, the Po Valley is often covered in fog. The Apennines and the Alps seem to emerge as islands.

Gorgeous view !
Was searching for Monte Nazzano and found one near Rivanazzano Terme/Salice Terme. Is this correct ?

Right! If one does not see a map, it is difficult to realize the extent of the photographed area.
The fog may seem homogeneous, but in such a large area there are areas where it is higher and others where it is lower.

A very impressive picture. The colour of the fog reminds me of the Venus atmosphere ...

Outstanding panorama, Giuseppe - and the Monviso ... simply incredible this mountain !!!

Cheers, Hans-Jörg

Extraordinary atmosphere and far view!

Ist das der Fernsichtrekord auf PP? Gratulation, ein einmaliges Ergebnis.
Die Farben sagen mir nicht zu, weswegen ich mich bei der Wertung enthalte.

Grüße,
Dieter

Very impressive. Halfway through, you think: There's nothing more. And then come the Alps with Monviso, an eye-catcher in the distance. Where is the record list again? In any case, it's not a new record on pp.

Great view.

Thanks for the comments. I just wanted to point out that there is no color processing. The colors are the original ones and depend on the refraction of the sun's rays on the fog of the Po valley. When the sun is about to set, the colors change and become more rosy. I'll show the color change in the next pano.

As for the distance record, in the pano 20903 the Monviso was photographed from 330km.
The Monviso is ideal for beating distance records :-)

Splendid pano Giuseppe. Well from my tower at only 66 m high, in flat Netherlands, the farthest thing I was able to capture and recognise is 71 km, nothing compared to the Viso, but very far for, something so close to the surface.
