Die zweite Tour auf die Berge der Majella führte uns von Norden hinauf. Hier kann man die Erschließung des Skigebiets nutzen und auf guter Straße bis auf ca. 1880m fahren und vor der Schranke am Rifugio Bruno Pomilio direkt unterhalb der antennenbewehrten Maielletta parken. Bis zur Madonna della Neve am Monte Blockhaus (Etappenziel des Giro d'Italia) muss die geteerte Strasse in Kauf genommen werden. Durch Latschen geht es am Monte Blockhaus vorbei (von oben gibt es tolle Winterpanos von Alberto) und schön auf der Höhe weiter. Nach über zwei Stunden Gehzeit und dem ersten effizienteren Aufstieg öffnet sich dieser Blick zurück und hinauf in die schuttige Gipfelwelt.

The second tour of the Majella mountains took us up from the north. Here you can take advantage of the development of the ski area and drive on a good road up to approx. 1880m and park in front of the barrier at the Rifugio Bruno Pomilio. Up to the Madonna della Neve on Monte Blockhaus (stage finish of the Giro d'Italia) you have to take the tarmac road. The route leads through mountain pines past the Monte Blockhaus (from the top there are great winter panoramas by Alberto) and continues nicely at altitude. After more than two hours of walking and the first more efficient ascent, this view opens up back and up into the scree-covered summit world.
