Hopeless late addition to my Sornfell trip, but time has unfortunately been very short lately...
I found this spot to be the best for making a meaningful panorama on the day. The fjell Skællingur covers the sun, and the view is relatively clear. Unfortunately, the whole site was covered in clouds as the evening progressed, so I couldn't get a pano from the summit.

Very nice - one summit serves as your Gegenlichtblende.
I do not mind the sun, although strict people might argue that it was too bright.
The only pity is a dramaturgic one: The very best part (cilff and "finger") is on the very left side.
