The Kurhaus is a prominent building located in Scheveningen, The Hague in The Netherlands. It was built between 1884 and 1885 by the German architects Johann Friedrich Henkenhaf and Friedrich Ebert. It consisted originally of a concert hall and a hotel with 120 rooms. Having suffered serious damage by fire, it was rebuilt between 1886 and 1887. The ceilings were painted by the Belgian artist Van Hoeck. Several kings and heads of state sojourned in the Kurhaus during its heyday. Until the 1960s the Kurhaus remained an attraction to the public by the many performances of top artists.
Fallen into disrepair and closed in 1969, the Kurhaus was saved from demolition in 1975 by being listed as a historical building. It is now completely renovated into a high-class hotel and casino. It was reopened in 1979.

Lots of difficulties, but no mistake (I see). Superb work! Do you use your 50-mm-lense for shooting panoramas? I really wonder if I should buy it, for its cost/performance ratio is said to be excellent.

I have never used my 50mm for panoramas (yet). This was my first attempt with a 16mm FishEye. I still made 12 photos, just to be sure ;-)

Great work, I would like to know how you manage to stitch objects in the near and in the distance. Especially the hand rail of the balustrade in front doesn't seem to have a lot of rework. The pano is also very bright, clear and perfectly balanced. Cheers HJ

Thanks for the compliments, Hans-Jürgen! To stitch objects in the near and in the distance be sure to place the nodal point (or optical center) of the lens atop the axis of rotation of the tripod. The stitching software will do the rest, but I always add some manual control points.
