First skiholiday for many years went to same location as the last one...Vrådal in the landscape of Telemark in southern Norway is a true "dane resort", since it is one of the nearest to Denmark. On the site the danes rule with an appr. 70% majority :-) It is nicely located between long lakes and deep forests, and there is a nice view to higher grounds once you get up a bit.

Since the skicenter can provide the snow, I hadn't really followed the weather situation, so I must say I was a bit shocked about the snow conditions in the surrounding landscape. "Normally" (doesn't exist anymore, I know...) everything would be covered in snow, and the lakes would have a thick layer of ice, but as can be seen neither is the case right now. Some scattered remains of old snow, and only minor waters with thin ice. However, a small portion snow came as I shot the pano; you can perhaps see how the snow comes to my left and right, so I shot the pano + a tele series, and went down for the last time that day.

Pano made from 14 pics (RAW), 50 mm, iso-200, 1/250 sec, f/7,1, developed in DPP (daylight, neutral, ALO off, moderate sharpness), stitched in PTgui pro, scale and sharpness in Irfanview.

At first a riddle: Yes, I know...so many riddles are put on, and I myself never participate...Perhaps I am lucky that one or two will try this one out:

I am on holiday, but where? From the pano it can be deduced, that it is not in the Alps, since then it should have been on AP. A hint could be, that I usually don't travel too far. Another hint could be, that the normal activity connected with this setting and weather can be performed on hundreds of locations in The Alps, but in a far more limited number of locations in this country. Given the managable number, I guess it shouldn't be too time consuming to go through the possible places.

The orientation is correct.
