Location: Primrose Hill (78 m)      by: Giuseppe Marzulli

A Pre-Brexit ;-) and unpublished pano of London.
12 photos; 110mm; f8; 1/640 sec.; 100 ISO.

London is mainly a flat city. However, in the north of London there are some low hills. One of these is Primrose Hill.
Primrose Hill is a hill of 78 meters located on the northern side of Regent's Park. The hill summit has a clear view of central London. The city center is approximately 5 km away.
Nowadays it is one of the most exclusive and expensive residential areas in London.

A treasure from your attic - thanks for getting this out. Great view on a wonderful, truly global city. Cheers, Martin

Thanks Martin for your comment.
Sincerely I was expecting more comments, because the pano is suitable for many observations about London. But probably the problem is that few on this website know London.

Giuseppe, I think the building you marked as St Pancras Station is the Francis Crick Institute, while on the left we can see the northern front of St Pancras.

You got panos from there and therefore I suppose you're right ;-)
I knew that the area of the station was that and I went to intuition.
Did you know this place?

Which place do you mean - Primrose Hill? I've been there about one month later than you, and I took several series from there, but was not very happy about them. If you mean St Pancras - yes, I know that place, have a look "in the vicinity" ...

Regarding Francis Crick Institute, I didn't know it, but I'm pretty sure now - you can find fotos on google maps.

I liked much your pano 17360 of St Pancras Railway Station.
Seeing Primrose Hill personally I liked it very much. In panoramic photos it doesn't do too well. But, in my opinion, it's a very beautiful and interesting sight.
This is the kind of landscape that is interesting for those who know the places.

Yes, you're right. And it's a lovely and peaceful place in this exciting city. Same applies to Hampstead Heath, btw.

If I were younger, I'd like to live in London for some months. London is an incredibly dynamic and interesting city. But, as beauty of the city, frankly, I prefer other European capitals or cities.

:-) Fortunately we must not decide which is the most beautiful place in the world, as this may change as time goes by...

By the way ....
... congratulations to number 700 - what a benchmark!!

Cranes everywhere. How many are there? Congratulations on the 700th!
2020/02/09 21:57 , Jörg Braukmann
Right Jörg. The thing that surprised me most is the incredible number of cranes. In 2016 London was a booming city in construction and economics.
Will it continue like this after Brexit?

"The man from the mountains" always finds the best possible overview, even in distant countries ;-) ... congrats to No. 700, dear Giuseppe !!!

Cheers, Hans-Jörg

I will reveal a secret to you and I assure you it is true: I love the mountains, but in reality I was born in a city on the sea ;-)
