If you go for the Huayhuash circuit, do not skip Sambuya. Most perform this crime, since they start from Quartelhuain, 4100 m, and prefer to end in Llamac, 3300 m, in order to spare this last ascent. This was not an option for me, who had left the bicycle guarded in a choza (shepherd's hut) above Quartelhuain.
Sambuya is a striking viewpoint and, strangely enough, you do not appreciate this fully in the generic 360°, since in a place like this not all degrees have the same weight... The highlights are, of course, the Rondoy - Jirishanca - Yerupajá barrier in direction SO, but also (exceptional for Huayhuash) the very S end of the Cordillera Blanca in direction NNW. I will detail both aspects in further panoramas.
This is the work n.7 in the program outlined in N.26068.

VG, Danko.
Also consider that it is far more difficult to locate photographic documentation about Sambuya or Trapecio than about Marmolada or Zugspitze!
