Details

Location: Faro Voltiano      by: Giuseppe Marzulli
Area: Italy      Date: 26 April 2019
The "Faro Voltiano" (Volta Lighthouse) was built in 1927 and it is located up in San Maurizio Brunate. The Lighthouse is dedicated to scientist Alessandro Volta. The Faro is an octagonal tower, 29 meters high, and dominates the lake, the prealps and it offers a majestic view of Lake Como and the distant Alps.
Visibility was good, but not excellent and the peaks of the Alps are not recognizable.

Your recent tele riddle from here totally confused me. This here makes much more sense by providing context. Cheers, Martin

Definitely, Martin. But this as a riddle was too easy ;-)

May be the best view on this lake on this site. I like these strong and natural colours.

Buona Sera Giuseppe. It seemed obvious to me that you were kind of waving across the lake to me in Moltrasio... Even though we both uploaded our respective images 'a long time' after capturing them. While on Lake Como we didn't go up any mountains or hills but really enjoyed our time.
