Volharding means persistency. This coal fired steam tug was built in 1929 and is still original today. Rotterdam Harbor Museum is now the owner. The boat is kept in good condition by a group of volunteers. It takes 5 days to prepare the tug ready for sailing. On June 23-24th, she was in Terneuzen together with Hercules and DockYard V, two other museum tugs, to organise round trips on the river Scheldt on the occasion of the Havendagen (harbor days), a yearly event in Terneuzen.
