SOLVED RIDDLE.

Lake Vico (Lago di Vico) is a caldera lake in the northern Lazio region. It is one of the highest major Italian lakes, with an altitude of 510 m.
Lake Vico occupies the central caldera of Vico Volcano. A volcanic cone was built up in a series of eruptions that occurred about 300.000 years ago.

Seems to be an unusual place for someone like you Giuseppe. I think this is Lago di Vico in an extinct crater.

a lake for rolling goats?

@Mentor: Yes, it is a crater lake, the lake of Vico. But it's not a too unusual place for me.
@Matthias: as usual, I did not understand ;-)

@Giuseppe:
that referred to the town of "caprarola" nearby. Capra means goat, an rola is the short form for "rollende Landstraße" - what means "truck on train". I admit this was to difficult to understand for not-german-speakers. Cheers: Matthias

Pensavo che tu iniziassi una miniserie sulle basiliche di Roma, invece sei passato ai laghi!
