SOLVED RIDDLE.

"Sasso Barisano" is one of the quarters that constitute the ancient town of Matera.
Matera is known for its historical center called "Sassi", considered World Heritage Site by UNESCO since 1993, along with the Park of the Rupestrian Churches. I like much Matera.
Matera was also declared Italian host of European Capital of Culture for 2019.

reminds me of Comissario M. and "Vigata".

Hallo Christoph. It can remind Montalbano and Vigata, but it is not in Sicily.

There is already a pano of the same town, taken almost from the same point....

your hint confirms what I suspected when I briefly looked at this this morning. The town is famous for its "sassi". The other pano from the same point is taken on 06.11.2008.

Very picturesque!

Hello Olaf. "Christ Stopped at Eboli" is a very good citation for the pano. Compliments.
