Wintertime is a very special travel time for Iceland. I knew the "Dämmerburgen" from a earlier stay at the island but I was not prepared for what I experienced with our group. We have been completely alone, weather was bad, it was windy and snowing. The road was not open and the path was - especially in the last leg - hardly visible. As one of the bulkier (not to be overlooked) members of the group I was ask to stay behind everyone taking pictures. This "mopping up" position made it possible to fall back until the scenery was filled with silence.

I am convinced that it is a good idea to show this in b/w, since the original color picture is quite close to b/w.

...das ist z.Zt. natürlich etwas schwierig wenn man als Österreicher Panoramen aus Island zeigt. Dezent gefärbt fände ich es schöner...

Na ja, wenn es mir denn was bedeuten würde (tut es nicht), dann wären die Trauerfarben wohl angebracht. Danke für den Hinweis mit den Farben, ich bin hier mit Absicht in s/w ausgewichen, weil so wenig Farbigkeit vorhanden war. Aber ... ich kann mich ja noch einmal dran setzen und die RAWs neu entwickeln.

Mir gefällt es s/w sehr gut, auch der Bildaufbau mit den dominanten Sträuchern in der Mitte ist gelungen. Außerdem ist ein Schneebild jetzt eine schöne Abwechslung.

I am one of those, who will never "see the light" of making S/W. Like Jörg, I will always prefer seeing whatever small doze of colours that is present. Just my opinion in generel, the pano is still interesting. LG Jan.
