The very small village of Saksun has its church placed rather exposed, not unlike Viðareiði, adding a stout and dramatic mood to the place. Although a seemingly ordinaire place, it is very beautiful and quiet, and a good place to think about ones life and the outside world.
I have removed a lamp in front of the church, which was a bit out of place; you can search google and find many pictures almost identical to this one and see the lamp.
