Details

Location: Navacelles (Belvédère de la Cascade)      by: Giuseppe Marzulli
Area: France      Date: 26 March 2016
The Cirque de Navacelles is a large erosional landform, located towards the southern edge of the Massif Central.
The area is an example of a dissected plateau in which the Vis River eroded a deep channel through the base of the valley, creating an incised meander.

Looks like no tourists here but the scene is as beautiful as the Gorges de l'Ardèche.

I was there before more than 10 years. I am surprised of this great place, I did not remember that it was so exciting.

Hello Jörg. I think that the Cirque of Navacelles is a very nice place and that the pano does not make fully well the depth of the meander.
Guide Michelin, which I use for travel in France ranking the place with three stars, which is the highest rating. Probably even the very clear weather plays an important role.
The panoramic north points, as Belvedere de la Cascade, are new, I believe they were made last year.
