Not so simple. A first attempt: Somewhere on the Algarve coast e.g. Parque Natural da Ria Formosa. Not just a stretch of land, I know well.
Kind regards, Matthias.
I can´t help with the riddle, but it must be an interesting place for studies in plants and birds. I´m impressed by the colours and by the horizont line.

@Matthias: I wanted to be precise for two reasons ;-)
1) I did not want people to think that I attend the golf courses ;-)
2) Cacela Velha (Old Cacela) is a small place, but very quaint and beautiful and deserves to be mentioned on this web-site ;-)
@Mentor: after all, you were oriented.
@Wolfgang: this area is very beautiful and full of flowers and birds, but it is also a bit too exploited for tourism to be a natural paradise.
BTW, it's very interesting to inspect the mobility and dynamics of the Ria Formosa lagoon (especially the newly formed inlet) when comparing Google Maps with more up-to-date aerial views provided by Sapo Mapas (http://maps.sapo.pt/?ll=37.155154%2C-7.544028&z=16&t=&theme=Map).
Kind regards, Matthias.
Yes it is very interesting. I would add that the landscape also varies in relation to the tides. High tide is quite different from the low tide. Unfortunately I did not have enough time to photograph the area at low tide and high tide. The comparison would have been very interesting.

Never mind. Anyway, thx for the riddle.
Kind regards, Matthias.
I have learned to interpret landforms at university and nowadays geolocalization is also part of my daily work.
Kind regards, Matthias.
"Time and tide wait for no man." - Geoffrey Chaucer ;-)
it is a wonderful citation.
I would say that it is also very suitable to the circumstance ;-)
