Zoom on Florence from San Miniato al Monte. The center of Florence, with the buildings photographed, is 1.6 Km from San Miniato al Monte. I chose this (not easy) frame because it is different from the usual ones and allows you to see in detail in the foreground the artistic heart of the city.
San Miniato al Monte (St. Minias on the Mountain) is a basilica in Florence, standing atop one of the highest points in the city. It is one of the most beautiful churches in Italy and my favorite of Florence. It is located a few hundred meters from Piazzale Michelangelo.
The view of Florence from San Miniato al Monte is quite similar to that from Piazzale Michelangelo, but comparing (pano 14318), you may notice some significant differences.

Tanti saluti, Hans-Jörg
Penso che potremmo continuare a lungo, ma temo non ci capirebbe nessuno e forse è meglio lasciare stare.
We have only mentioned some verses of Dante on Florence. Nothing that relates to evaluation of the pano.
Saluti Wolfgang
