This summer I have been really busy recording flora and fauna, but honestly there have only been very few clear days. Therefore the archive must be consulted, and first in line is this one from last august.
The day was very clear, and luckily I had the day off from lunchtime. I spent the whole day making panos, shooting more than 800 pics. First stop was on this (so far) nameless hill, where the best unspoiled view is given over the Sjællands Odde peninsula. There are a few far away sightings; they are better viewed on the tele-version; here is a overview to get an idea of the landscape.
The shortgrass-area between the forested part (holiday homes) and the bay is one of the best locations for butterflies on Sjælland (above all amandus, idas, argus, hippothoe, virgaureae, semele, selene, aglaja). All these species have seen an unprecedented decline in the last 30 years, and are now only present on a few isolated locations. This and last summer I have spent trying to document whatever interesting flora and fauna present on as many marginal locations as possible, like here.
Pano made from 15 pics (RAW), iso-100, f/11, 1/500 sec, developed in DPP (neutral, moderate sharpness, forgotten temp...), stitched with PTgui pro. Re-scaled and sharpened in IrfanView.
