Fès is the main cultural and artistic city of Morocco, and Bab Boujloud, the main entrance to the medina, is the gateway collecting the whole touristic flow, and featuring the main bus station, a galaxy of hotels and apartments, plenty of false guides trying to intercept you, and all the like.
Well, this photo is taken less than 300 metres away from there. Moreover, the straight wall behind, belonging to an old kasbah, encompasses the Fès university and hospital.
So, I think that this image summarizes much of the contradictions of the modern world... The double presence of the (very busy) shepherd is intentional, and aims to add a further extravagant note to the already extravagant scenery. Unfortunately, he had too much work to care about my photographic exigencies, and so we see him both times from the wrong side.
13 vertical shots, zoom 16-85, 24 mm (x1.5), 1/250 sec, f/8, ISO 100.

Did you spot out, for example, the sheep on the right jumping above the tombstone? Now I labeled it in red, like many of them are labeled on their back. If you want, you can help yourself with www.panoramio.com/photo/88594122 - although for the jumping theme in itself 81686503 would be more rewarding...
Cheers, Alberto.
