Vieste is a small town, spilling down the hillside above the sea on the eastern coastline of the Gargano, a peninsula sometimes described as the spur on the heel of the Italian boot.
Pizzomunno is the name of the characteristic rock monolith that you see and that gives its name to the most famous beach of Vieste.
