I was very touced by this view. For the Venezia - specialist I leave the exact position open for the next days if someone will try to find it out.

That is worth a painting. Amazingly, still old TV antennas on the roofs.

That bell tower and that church on the left (S.S.) are close to the Rialto bridge. I photographed them from above, from the Campanile di San Marco.
In my opinion, the Campanile di San Marco is underestimated as a vantage point (in the sense that there are very few pano taken from there), but it allows you to see all of Venice.
If I can, tomorrow I will post a pano that you can see from the high the area.

Dear Christoph,
I saw your panorama this morning and was very pleased. I could enjoy this sight for a few days too and it reminded me of a stay in the immediate vicinity - #19677. This panorama was created on the opposite altane. So it was not difficult to determine the position :-)

Greetings Werner

I know EXACTLY where you are.
I could tell you that the building where you are was once an important bank branch... As many many other buildings in Venice, this one too was reconverted to touristic use so as to allow millions more people to occupy every single calle... I could tell you that I've been working for many years a few steps away from this place. I could even tell you which stores and buildings you show in this pano, and which stores have succeeded over the years. when I was young it was the habit of us guys to meet in the afternoon in the "campo" that is at the extreme right of the photo, to chat and drink the aperitif and plan the evening. In the middle of the "campo" there is a pylon with a standard flag that according to popular tradition is at the exact geographical center, at the navel of the city. Really it's not so...
By the way, I wonder if someone knows what the nearby "ponte del lovo" means. It may be a surprise.

Ciao, Alvise

"Morbider Charme" fiel mir beim Betrachten als erstes ein. Sehr gute Motivwahl!
