St. Paul's outside the Walls, is one of Rome's four ancient, Papal, major basilicas.
The Basilica was founded by the Roman Emperor Constantine I over the burial place of St. Paul, where it was said that, after the Apostle's execution, his followers erected a memorial.

Very nice of course. However the structure of ceiling resembles a Brussels waffle.
I don't know who was first?

San Paolo fuori le mura is UNESCO heritage. The ceiling has been redone several times, but resembles the original.
The church was consecrated by the Roman emperor Constantine, in the year 324. I believe that at that time Brussels was only a marshy area without a population.
