Location: San Gimignano      by: Giuseppe Marzulli
Area: Italy      Date: 14 August 2015
It is a particular pano taken with the 300 mm from a distance of about 5 km.
In the Middle Ages there were 72 towers in San Gimignano. Today there are 14.
It may seem strange, but also in San Gimignano there were the Twin Towers (the Towers of Salvucci), visible in the pano.

Spectacular point of view and a fascinating tele-panorama. I hope you have also found time to enjoy the good wine there ;-)) ...

Hallo Hans-Jörg. For San Gimignano the choice of wine is easy: the vernaccia.
Vernaccia di San Gimignano is a historical wine mentioned by many Tuscan poets ;-)
