Location: Anica Kuk (712 m)      by: Konrad Sus
Area: Croatia      Date: 20.07.2015
Anica Kuk is famous peak for climbers, huge limestone wall rising from Paklenica Gorge. Its also accessible for hikers, from there nice view to main ridge of Velebit, Paklenica and Zadarska Zupanija with Velebit Channel and Novigradsko More. The best time to go there is spring or autumn. I was there in july, temperature about 40 degrees, I drunk all water during ascent, so my descent was very quick, I runned out from burning sun to torrent in valley. When I got there, I started immediately drink. Last part of ascent isn`t quite safe, sharp-edges of karst rocks without any secured tihngs like ropes or chains, so its neccessary to be very careful.

Comments

Really a very impressive view - i would prefer to cut the last 10-15%, immediately after Liburnija!

I also agree that the overexposed part is not strictly necessary.
On the other hand, it would be good to have some more pixel of the nice cairn on the left.
(It is not a case that I am in a Panoramio group named "Cairns, Steinmännchen, Omini di Pietra", although never in Italy they have been called Omini)
Cheers, Alberto.

PS: is it more dangerous to fall down from the Anica Kuk or from the once interrupted road of Maslenica?
