The Acropolis of Athens is an ancient citadel located on a high rocky outcrop above the city of Athens and containing the remains of several ancient buildings of great architectural and historic significance, the most famous being the Parthenon.
In the pano there are some scaffolding, but the restoration of the Parthenon began in 1975 and it is difficult to predict when it will end ;).

Comments

Great pano. The scaffolding actually looks quite the same as when I was last there in 2007. But what are a few years against 2500 years of history. Cheers, Martin
