Horizon??? Does nobody see this?

I think that the horizon is correct. The photos were taken with a tripod, and Giudecca Island is very close to "Fondamenta delle Zattere". Isola di San Giorgio is much more distant from the point of shooting. In my opinion, it is useful to understand how it is the geographical form of area.

Maybe you are both right. Giuseppe, I think the waters's edge of Isola di San Giorgio could be a more horizontal line at this distance. KR Arno

Giuseppe, I did not check the distances and the border lines. But I am sure the vertical lines of the buildings right of Ponte Lungo are falling to the left more or less.
Of course I like to confirm that colours and scenery are very beautiful!

I modified and reloaded the pano and thank you all for the suggestions.
I would like to make one comment. Venice was built on a foundation of tree trunks. 1200 years later, those same trunks still support almost all of Venice. For this reason, many buildings in Venice are not perfectly straight. This is one of many reasons that make Venice a unique city in the world, but this makes more difficult to take panos ;).

dalla Giudecca risente di distorsioni laterali dovute da un lato alla curvatura del canale e delle fondamente, nonchè della stessa isola, dall'altro da oggettive questioni prospettiche.
Come già detto altre volte, grazie per le tue pano della mia città perchè a volte un veneziano è troppo "assuefatto" alla bellezza e alla luce per renderle nella maniera più corretta. Avendola sotto gli occhi tutti i giorni, tutto il giorno, non serve fotografarla. Basta goderla.
Ti ho aggiunto un paio di labels. Per piacere se puoi correggi Santa Maria dei Frari in Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari.
Quanto alle palafitte indubbiamente uno degli elementi più importanti, letteralmente "fondamentale", di Venezia è anche quello meno visibile e più nascosto. Per fortuna gli antichi sapevano come fare; pochi sono i palazzi, soprattutto quelli più vetusti, che hanno avuto assestamenti strutturali, e a mia nozione non una costruzione (nè palazzo nè chiesa nè campanile) è mai venuta giù a causa di cedimenti del terreno o del palancolato. Tra l'altro quello che tu vedi dalla Giudecca è il sestiere di Dorsoduro, un toponimo assolutamente trasperente. Qui meno che altrove si è fatto ricorso all'infissione dei pali di larice, potendo contare su un substrato più solido.

Superb colours. Have followed the horizon discussion with interest, as I've seen myself how tricky this can be. But the result is good now. Cheers, Martin

@Jörg: I admire the rigor and technical precision. But, for me, photography is mainly a kind of art. I always prefer a pano that gives emotions, rather than a pano technically perfect, but emotionless.
In my opinion, this is one of the best panos of all, because the wonderful light and the beauty of the buildings give a lot of emotions.

I consider both aspects. Both are great now (like I wrote before).
